The port is part of the policy

The 240-hour visa-free transit policy operates through a designated list of entry ports. The National Immigration Administration's current notice lists 65 ports alongside the 57 eligible countries.

Arriving at a port that participates in the policy is a separate test from holding an eligible passport or having a valid third-country route. All three conditions must hold at the same time.

Stay inside the permitted area

Transit travelers are expected to remain within the policy's permitted area during the stay. Moving outside it can turn the visit into an entry that the transit framework does not cover.

Plan your accommodation and side trips inside the allowed zone before you fly. If your itinerary needs to cross outside it, a regular visa or a different entry route is the safer choice.
